then Santa patted the velvet bench, wanting me to join him...

Almost Wordless Wednesday, Not exactly what I had in mind for our trip to see Santa. Although GL wouldn't have it any other way (note look of terror on her face). Next year, right? Wait, that's what I said last year.

  2. Maybe that's the solution. Maybe if I climb up on Santa's knee with them, they won't fight me on it. I've only ever had one good santa shot of ANY of my kids. My oldest son was 7 months old for his first picture and smiled for the camera. The following year at 19 months he was less than thrilled - so that was it for him. Then the twins were newborns in their first Santa picture (not a good one) and then 14 months for the second one (and not at all happy about it). So I've given up. We just look at Santa from afar and marvel at the display. That's enough for them - so that's enough for me!

  9. My kids have always hated getting their picture taken with Santa. I will give it a try this year, but if they balk, we'll just put our letters in the "santa" mailbox and call it a day.

  11. That is such a cute picture. I can't decide if my kids actually care to do it this year or not. We've walked by twice and they haven't wanted to wait in line.

  16. The greatest gift I got this year was a picture of my boys on Santa's lap. It's something I thought I'd never, ever see. Brought me to tears.
