Reinvigorate Your New Year's Fitness Goals with a new Wii™ & Wii Fit™ Plus Giveaway!!!

April started the second quarter of the year! Wow! Three months down, where has the time gone? I'm using the passing of time to reflect on my fitness goals I set for the New Year. It's time to reevaluate my goals and step them up a notch. My goals are typical, New Year definitely in a bikini by summer goals? Just kidding!

Honestly one of my goals is to do something active everyday. My Wii Fit™ Plus has given me the opportunity to stick to that goal. Not enough time to make a yoga class, can't fit in the gym, the girls are sick, the weather outside is miserable? No problem, I'll just hop on my Wii Fit Plus!

Today is one of the most exciting days at EatPlayLove. When I agreed to become a brand enthusiast for Nintendo, I was graciously offered a prize package to give away to my readers.

Drum roll please...

I'm giving away a Wii™ Gaming System AND a Wii Fit Plus game!

Can I hear some cheers and applause? How awesome is that. I am delighted to offer one of you a chance to bring fitness into your home. Yes, you too can reinvigorate your New Year's fitness goals.

  2. I would fit in some fitness by doing some yoga Wii while the kids are at school, and by playing some fun games with the kids when they get home from school. I would LOVE to win this! Thanks so much for the chance!

  3. How exciting! I've been wanting Wii fit for a long time. I am great at starting exercise routines and then getting bored with them. Wii Fit is fun and would keep me entertained AND working out at the same time...which I will greatly appreciate when I go to try on wedding dresses!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I would play "tennis" on Saturday and "soccer" on Sunday and do 5 minutes of yoga when I get home from work on the weekdays. This Wii would allow me to spend more time with my family instead of spending lots of time and money at a gym.

  5. How cool! I am a huge fan of The Shred DVD, but I've been looking for something to do at home that puts a little variety into my workout. Because we're already knee-deep in an XBox setup, I've not been able to get the Wii. Winning this would be AWESOME! :)

  6. I'm trying to head into my 40s this summer with a healthier body... would love to have this option to help vary my workouts and keep me on track!

  7. I will fit some fit in with Wii Fit Plus from Nintendo by playing with the balance board. I do a lot of yoga and have been curious to do an interactive yoga program like this. I am preparing for my first child soon and want to have an in-home system since I won't have time to head to the studio anymore.

  8. I would use the Wii Fit Plus when I got home from school (which I am usually at until about midnight)! I have heard great things about it and would love to give it a try especially since the gym is closed.

  9. Oh, I have to enter this!

I WOULD use it to help me look amazing in my wedding dress in October.

I really need to tone up, and rid myself of back cleavage.
I think the Wii Fit could help me have better posture, too, which might help my back pain.

Also, the personal stats it keeps would be very motivating.

I can't join a gym, and going walking is really hard when your kids are too big for strollers but too little to keep up.

So, I could do it before bed, or in the morning, and wouldn't have to worry about what to do with my boys. It would be perfect. (I've been wanting one for a long time, actually)

*waving hand frantically above my head* pick me, pick me, pretty please, pick me :)

  10. Oh my goodness! What an awesome giveaway! I recently gave up cable television to save money and I would definitely use my old tv-watching time for Wii Fit! My fingers are definitely crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would try to make time to work out after the kids are asleep, and the Wii Fit Plus would help because I don't have to run out to the gym.

  12. My husband and I have been making some MAJOR cutbacks to save money so I can be a stay at home mom to our 10month old son. This meant he had to say goodbye to his gym membership- one that he was hoping I might join with him, so we could spend some quality time together while getting ourselves healthy. What better way to get fit and spend quality time together & save $ than by playing Wii Fit!!! (we've been wanting to get one, but it always gets but put at the bottom of our "what to spend $ on, priority list") Thank you for the opportunity to win one :)

  15. As a single, working parent, a gym membership is out of the question. As is a Wii or any other device like that. I can envision some great times with the girls, having fun with the Wii AND exercising. Awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh, I've been wanting this really badly! It's the perfect thing to do while the kids are napping-- instead of sitting on my big old butt on the couch!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. Any excuse to exercise is a good excuse!

  18. Wow what a great giveaway Denise! I love to do workout tapes in the morning, so I'd gladly try the Wii out first thing...and entertain my dog and my daughter while doing so. They laugh and try to join in with me whenever I work out at home. Of course - I'm two weeks away from giving birth, so I won't actually be using this for a few weeks...but once my dr gives me the okay - A Wiii'ing I'd go! :-)

  20. I would attempt to fit in some Wii Fit before the kids get up for school: getting the workout done early makes for a great day! :)

  21. Right now I'm fitting in fitness during nap time, but I hear the Wii Fit Plus is so much fun I'd probably find more times to fit it in! It'd be fun to squeeze some Wii Fit in during the evening, instead of crashing on the couch!!!
    E-mail is in profile!

  22. Am I the only one who really wants to try the boxing?

We have a PS3 but no Wii. My butt and my children will thank you. :D

  23. Wow! What a fun giveaway! I would love one of these to help me stay on track with my fitness goals. We are ditching our cable in exchange for a gym membership and this would be fun to have when I can't get to the gym.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I usually "fit" fitness in before the kids get up or when they are napping. The Wii fit would be a great at helping me to do that, as well as making it easier on those dark and rainy mornings when a run inst't possible,

    ReplyDelete
  25. I would immediately fit this in to my day to day workout routine. With the high cost of gym memberships in New York City, I can't really afford to join a gym so this would go a long way in helping me meet my fitness goals. I would probably workout in the evenings after work and on the weekends. I think the Wii Fit system is a great fun way to workout without having it feel like a chore. My fingers and toes are crossed in hopes that I win!

  26. This would be about the only way I will be able to sneak in some fitness soon! My baby boy is due in 8 weeks and I won't really want to go to the gym with a tiny baby. The Wii fit would be a great way to get in some exercise while he sleeps in his bouncy seat. And my big girls would love to play along!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have this but it is at the 'cleaning place' since my house burnt down. I have missed it so--and there's no guarantee mine will work when we finally get it back since my house burnt down (did that guilt ya into choosing me?) LOL
Can you tell I'll stoop to any level to get another one of these?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I have absolutely been dying for one of these - I can't afford to join a gym and I'm just not motivated by the DVDs I can get from the library. I would use it every day during nap time and my kids love the bowling game so we would use it as a family too.

    ReplyDelete
  29. My last resort to attempt getting my stuff back in it's place is working out at home during insane hours. I've been wanting to get motivated with the Wii Fit and check out what all the buzz is about. I really have faith in it helping me get back in shape..or at least, have fun at it.
    Thank you!

  31. Oh my goodness, I'd LOVE this! I would love, love, love to sneak in a bit of yoga in the morning or during naptime, and my kids have used this at friends' houses and go nuts for it.

It would be so crazy awesome if we scored this. Crossing my fingers, and thank you!

  32. I'll get up every morning at 6:30 AM to work out on the Wii. It's the only time of the day when I'm not exhausted from work.

  33. I will fit in some fit once Little Miss goes down for her nap. Before I fall into a lunch coma, I will get my fit in, which will keep me motivated to get stuff done all afternoon long!

  34. What an awesome giveaway! A Wii Fit system would get me back on track after a 6 month "break" from going to the gym. I have twin 5 year olds and recently adopted "twin" puppies, so I'm struggling to find time to get out of the house. I would be able to fit the Wii Fit in easily between puppy potty breaks and volunteer work in the kids school.

  35. I would fit some wii fit into my life by trying to track my progress every day - something I can't do well at the gym! I am always too embarrassed to try yoga in a class, and rarely have the time, plus the aerobics and balancing would help me get ready for next years ski season, too! It would really alleviate the need to go to the gym...

    ReplyDelete
  36. I would fit in the fit mornings before work. I am always on the run and never have time to exercise and this would help me get into a routine..

  37. Oh man! I can't even tell you how badly I want to win this! Yes, I'm a child of the 80's...so I love me some Mario as much as anyone... and can't wait to play...BUT, what makes me really want a Wii is specifically the fit plus and balance board!!

While visit my guy's family at Christmas we played lots and lots and lots of hours on the Wii fit w/ them and his sister/BIL. It was SO fun...and by the way my abs hurt after spending hours "hooping" I was clearly getting a workout w/out even realizing it

It was Christmas, I was on vacation...and yet I lost 5 lbs w/out trying! Thank you Wii Fit! And now I want one...but can't justify buying one new and have yet to score one of craigslist.

So please oh please on please!

    And thanks for the chance!!!

  38. I would use this to tone up! I just started doing a little exercise in the mornings before the kids get up so this would be perfect!

  41. My 11 year old daughter and I have been trying to find ways to exercise regularly and together. It is a challenge to find something that we both like and make it work with the family schedule. We are finishing our basement this month and installing a new flat screen tv with all the accessories. I just see us down there working it out together!

  42. I am usually pretty good about making it to the gym but a Wii and the Wii Fit Plus would make it easier to fit in a workout on those days when I just can't seem to get out of bed in time to get to the gym, workout and make it home before my husband has to go to work. It would be such a good time saver.

Not to mention that I think my family would love it. Thanks for the chance!

  43. As a stay at home mother of 3 children - 5 year old and twins that are 1 year old - I have no time to get out the house to work out and I desperately want to! Wii & Wii Fit would give me the opportunity to work out in the early morning, nap time and / or late at night when the kid are tucked away in bed. I have heard amazing things about Wii Fit and would the opportunity to try each exercise regularly while still being at home! I love that I could play soccer, tennis, do some yoga or maybe some boxing, each on a seperate day to keep it fun for all of us!

I feel like my good health and fitness is essential to my children being healthy and happy as well. This great win would be amazing for us as a family!

Thank you so much for such a great opportunity!

  45. Hi! This is stella_bleu13@yahoo.com
I have osteopenia(bone degeneration),fibromyalgia(nerve damage+),multiple sclerosis(cns disease),and lupus. I am currently disabled and I believe that this system would bring more healthy energy-both physical and mental-back into my everyday life. I am not a whiner or complainer, I just want to feel like a "normal person" again.

  46. I would love this! As a mother of 4 who works full-time on graveyards I find little time to squeeze out for me....in just a little over a month I will celebrate 40 years of life which is amazing as just 3 short years ago I was in an ER being outfitted with a pacemaker! I truly want to be fit and 40, not fat and 40! Thank you!

  47. Wow Denise...so cool that Nintendo is doing this with you!!!

I know exactly when I would use the Wii Fit Plus...right after my kiddos go to bed. That's when I get to spend a little time to myself. And I bet my husband would want to join me!

  48. As a mom of 20-month-old twins, I can hardly find time to exercise other than what comes with the territory of chasing after them, throwing them up in the air, spinning them, pushing their stroller, etc. You get the gist! This is not enough, though, I need to get more exercise. I work full-time during the typical Monday-Friday workweek and my husband goes to school 3 days a week and works some evenings and weekends. He is off Wednesday nights and we often do some competitive video gaming, especially golf, after the girls go to bed that night as well as other nights he is home early. We've been exposed to the Wii gaming system at a friend's and definitely got into our competitive spirit! We definitely would get into the Wii if we had one, and our girls eventually would, too. It's one way we spend time together and with the Wii and Wii Fit, we can get some fun exercise in at the same time!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I would love to workout while my daughter is in preschool in the morning. The baby isn't mobile yet so I can definitely squeeze it in.

  50. When I realized my Boobs were heading Southwest is when I knew it was time to take action. My bum is dragging on the ground, so I have to practically scoot to the kitchen to get breakfast, lunch and dinner ready for the family. At bath time, I get a bath even when I am not in it. My body parts are hanging, dropping, drooping, gravity is winning... The only thing standing up on my right now is my hair; official bed head of the Rockies.

I'd love to take my saggy self to the Wii and get some me time. Wii for me. That would be cool.

  55. I will fit some fit in with Wii Fit Plus from Nintendo by using it with my girls on days when it's too hot (rainy, snowy, etc) for us to play and work together outside. We love our weekly hikes, Yardwork & play, but sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate.
