Eat Play Love Giveaway Week!

It's giveaway week at Eat Play Love! I started this blog back in August of 2007. My blogiversary is officially on Friday, but this entire week will have giveaways, everyday! So let's all celebrate together.

I have to admit, I feel a bit like Oprah today because our Laptop Lunches Bento Kit is one of my favorite things! The kind people over at Laptop Lunches offered up a free Bento Kit to one of my readers for giveaway week and back to school. Their new Bento Kits are the updated 2.0 version which has an entire line of new super cool colors. The accompanying tote is made with 100% post-consumer recycled fabric and the bento set is made with 10% recycled content. As always they are BPA and phthalate free! This giveaway has a value of $36.99.

After a school year of packing lunches, I am impressed with how well the Laptop Lunches held up. It's still in great shape and I don't need to invest in any new lunch boxes for this year.

How to Enter:

1. Visit the Menu Library on the Laptop Lunches website, by simply clicking here.
2. Then leave a comment here sharing with me what lunch idea you think is the best one for school, work, travel, OR play.
3. One comment per person.
4. If you comment as anonymous, please leave a valid email in your comment so I can easily contact you. The LL Bento Kit will ship directly from the company, so you will need to provide them with your shipping information, I will just pass along name/email.
5. Contest closes Friday 8/13 at 10pm mst, I will close comments when the contest ends.
6. Winners will be announced in one post from the entire week on Saturday (and I'll email you).
7. If winner does not respond to my email, I will draw a new winner on Monday Aug 16.
8. I reserve the right to delete comments that do not answer the ? in line #2.

Good Luck, Happy Bento packing....

  1. Ok so I like a few. Mr. Man would like the Greek and veg sushi. While the boy would certainly like the basic sandwich or chili. Can you really transport chili like that? I like the salad and sandwich from March. Everything looks yummy and I have now book marked the page.

  2. I like the Vegetable Sushi Lunch because well, I love sushi! It's easy to make and so versatile with regard to ingredients. Plus, it's a finger food anyone can eat on the run.

    Happy (early) Blogaversary, Denise!!

  3. Denise, in honor of the Greek Feast that my husband is currently making me, I vote for bringing the Greek Treat to work with me. In fact, if I had one of these lovelies, I'd be bringing leftovers in it tomorrow!

    (Awesome giveaway, btw!)

  4. For lunch I like to take something light so I don't fall asleep at my desk in the afternoon, so the Salad and Sandwich (March 2010) sounds perfect. The simple grilled cheese made with avocado and mustard is a great twist on an old standard. I would love to have a Bento Box as I could then guarantee nobody would try and steal my lunch from the breakroom fridge!

  5. I am going to have to go with Greek Treat! Ry is pretty adventurous and a creamy dip is always a winner around here! Time to get those creative lunch ideas flowing again.

  7. So many great ideas there! I love the Garden Vegetables & Hummus lunch idea. My kiddos eat hummus a lot; it's healthy & super easy to pack. Also a great way to get them to eat more veggies. Would have to switch out the tomatoes for carrots with my family though...sadly I'm the only one who likes fresh tomatoes. Oh well, more for me! :)

  9. The Egg Salad English Muffin would be a great lunch for myself, my husband, or my daughter. The Toddler Finger Food Lunch is also a good choice for sending to school with my daughter for a snack or lunch.

  10. Sweet Potato Medley for sure! Can't say how much I love that website and all of the great ideas. Finally, something more than PBJ for our lunches!!

  11. Okay, I always thought bentos were cool, but after looking at all the recipes I am completely hooked!! I'm a teacher and my little boy is entering Kindergarten this year. I'm hoping to do bentos for both of us this school year. I can't wait to try the Stuffed Avocado and Watermelon! Although there are heaps on here I'm going to have to try. Now if I can only persuade my husband to pack my lunches...

  12. Summer Color is the best for us, as I'm at the local farmers market(s) regularly (we're blessed with more than one in my area) & am a CSA member. My daughter has a laptop lunchbox, so I'm already familiar with how great they are, however my son (2!?!) spent all last year begging for his & our local store that carries them was always out. We've picniced all summer without hers (we did many batch-packed lunches & sandwiches), but this year I'm determined not to hear him begging for one. If we win him one, then I can splurge on the insulated bags! :) THanks for such a great blog - I'm glad I found you :) quacklin2 at yahoo

  18. My daughter's in rehearsal for a play right now, so she's been eating "lunch" for dinner on the way there. I think she'd like the End of the School Year Treat for her "on the go" dinner. (Not quite one of your categories, but I hope it doesn't get deleted!)

  19. Wow!! Amazing ideas- and super healthy to boot! My favorite is the Avocado, Mango and Black Bean Bento Box. These are some of my 22-month old daughter and myself favorite foods.

  20. Now I'm hungry for some lunch! The one that made my stomach growl today was the Avocado, Mango, and Black Beans. It would be great for me for work days but I'm not sure I could convince my oldest on the avocados!
